Free Quilting Patterns from Tilda's Cotton Beach range

I am waiting for the arrival of my Tilda Cotton Beach this week. Tilda called this collection 'Cotton Beach' as it felt like the perfect name for a coastal cotton fabric collection. Shells, coral reefs and sea anemones are some of the motifs that inspired the mixed style designs. Colors vary from purples to dark and light corals, sandy greys, light and green teals and blues, and yellows to represent sunshine.

In the meantime, here are a couple of patterns to provide inspiration!  These free quilt patterns from Tilda use the Cotton Beach range but why don't you use some of your own stash of other fabrics?

Coral Reef Quilt is of moderate difficulty.  It evokes images of tropical coral reefs in a lovely edge-to-edge design. The quilt uses fabrics from the Cotton Beach and Chambray ranges, and is made up of squares and rectangles, sewn together into columns. The piecing for the quilt is easy but care will be needed to keep the design straight and the seams neatly aligned.

Striped Fabric Roll Pillows are easy to make as it is created using strip piecing, which produces the same patchwork panel for the front and back of the pillow. It is made in a similar way to a normal pillowcase, with an internal pocket to house the pillow pad.

Finished Size
25½in x 20in (64.8cm x 50.8cm)
